In in effort to serve you in the best way I’m writing a report of the cosmic influences as gleamed by an horary astrological chart created for the date and time projected of the landfall on the U.S. east coast of hurricane Dorian … here are my findings and interpretation of this chart. First, the name Dorian means “Child of the Sea“. The name Dorian is Greek and means strong, legendary hero, gift and child of the sea. As I thought about the meaning of this name I felt this storm is not a curse or a killer but one coming with a specific purpose and what I gleamed intuitively is she is strengthening us each in remembering what’s most important individually and as a whole! She bring us all a renewal for life and purpose. That’s what I’m holding close to my heart as we together join hands and move through this experience together.

In this chart the Sun, Mars, Mercury, Venus and Part of Fortune are all joined together in Virgo … Sun = Spirit, Mars = movement, Mercury = communication, Venus = love and security, Part of Fortune = pot of gold. Virgo is the sign of service and wants perfection through and in all she serves. Although this cluster of Virgo is stressed to the max by a powerful opposing force to Neptune in Pisces. Neptune = suffering that brings resolve and Pisces = the deepest and most vulnerable parts of us and all of life. Also this cluster is in a stressful configuration to Jupiter in Sagittarius. Jupiter = expansion and Sagittarius belief. This powerful, mutable, changeable, unpredictable T-Square = stressful configuration located in the 3rd, 6th and 9th areas of life influence that our thoughts, health, faith and belief will be tested. However , please note that the cluster of planets in Virgo is in trine = harmony with Pluto, South Node of the Moon and Saturn in Capricorn which promises in the end many positive, healthy transformations in relationships and of past patterns will be a result of this experience in time.

I do not want to get too technical but do want to advise everyone to take care that you be safe and well during this storm! It is powerful, strong and has the capacity to change without warning. It’s energy is much like a chameleon. The cluster of Virgo planets is also in trine to Uranus in Taurus in the 11th house of this chart carries an energy of unpredictable, earthly and community strength. Team = Together Everyone Achieves More. Communities, friendships and goals will be achieved by sticking closely together. There is strength in numbers. Also present is a configuration of 4 planetary angles in this chart that form what I call Angel Wings … this is a powerful force of protection from being destroyed. In essence we are surrounded by a team of angels. There is also the energy of an Emerald … meaning this storm is bringing healing and aid to many!

As I began writing this article I saw 444 on my clock in my office and then again on my bedroom clock and the message of 444 is “you are currently following the right path. If you see the number 444 repeatedly, it is often your angel giving you a sign that they are with you. The sign is reminding you to feel confident and supported in this knowledge”.

Dorian brings sustained winds which are close to the highest ever observed in the Atlantic and it features a textbook presentation from the vantage point of space. The National Weather Service has labeled Dorian as the 2nd most powerful storm ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean and ties the record for the most powerful storm to make landfall.

On Wednesday March 6, 2019 we experience the 3rd new moon of 2019. This new moon provides another turn of what I call the Cosmic Key. It offers information about new experiences to come. If you look at the chart above and look to where the orange pen is pointing, you will see the Sun and Moon side by side with Neptune in Pisces leading the way in the 10th house and 11th house. The 10th house reveals where we go out in the world and how we do that. So often we define ourselves by our careers and loose sight of the whole of who we are deep inside. This means this new moon could bring revelations about who we really are inside and not just who we are on the surface. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and so it brings this vast picture that reminds us that we are all one. Pisces is a water sign and so there is a grand sensitivity present. It is also the last zodiac sign of the 12 and it’s energy presents the opportunity to access, gain clarity and resolve into deep emotional areas. Pisces also brings the energy of the visionary and so there is this ability to see others and ourselves clearer and not just what is seen on the surface. This new moon will encourage us to remember what our dreams are and to look deeper then we normally do.

As I was studying this chart I had a vision of diving off a ledge into the deep ocean. On the surface the water was shifting back and forth and I felt pushed and pulled and I wanted to escape this uneasiness. I didn’t know which way to go so I decided to go deeper and deeper in search of calmer waters. However I could not see the bottom of the ocean and it became clear to me that I would need to swim deeper to get clarity into this unknown territory. Neptune in Pisces beside this new moon is what embodies this feeling. This means on the surface, we as a whole are experiencing confusion and we are reminded that we must embody faith, hope and believe that we will be cared for as this new path unfolds. This is what a new moon does, it builds upon a theme of change that’s been unfolding since the solar eclipse occurred back on January 5th.

Pisces is a dual sign just like Gemini, Libra, Aquarius and Cancer and so it can behave one way one minute and the next minute it mutates to something different. So it can be very confusing to figure out what is real and what is not. That means it could time to gain clarity.

This new moon is forming a 90 degree angle to Jupiter in Sagittarius in the 7th house of this chart. This means as a whole the truth about our relationships is not easy to see. We will have to work hard and do our research to unveil the what’s real and what is not. This also means it will be easy for things to get blown out of proportion and hard to stay grounded and keep the faith in the face of injustice. This energy is sort of like a “trust fall”… it can be hard to let go, trust and believe that you’ll be safe. Just like Dori says in the movie “Finding Nemo” … “just keep swimming”.

As a whole we’re experiencing shifting and unexpected events which can be shocking and it can feel as if the earth is moving under our feet as Uranus has just shifted completely into the sign of Taurus in the 12th house of this chart. The 12th house is the unknown, the unseen and is often referred to as the house of the drawn shades. Uranus’s shift into Taurus (an earth sign) is just beginning to tell us that it is time for the earth to change. It is time for us to become aware of the changes beneath the surface of the earth. It encourages us to look at what we value and it’s possible now we realize what we need to change. Uranus’s energy encourages new ideas and invention and as I mentioned before Taurus is Earth. We’re likely to see inventions in agriculture that produces new and sustainable methods for growing food or for producing other earthly items that bring security. It’s energy influence is one that is awakening us to the earth’s need to shake free from what’s been hidden from our view, what we’ve buried deep as the 12th house is the natural house of Pisces. As I just described above, Pisces is the ruler of the deep and we are entering into that territory as this month unfolds.

Mars is also in Taurus in the 12th house and so there is this slow (Taurus) process of activity revealing the unknown. Mars in Taurus is sextile this new moon and so it does offer some relief and help. Any actions taken now can reveal more of who we are. I just had a picture in my mind of a person holding a powerful telescope and they’re extending it into the water deeper and deeper in search of what is buried and in hope of finding answers to resolve our problems. However, with Pisces there is always this underlying feeling of fight or flight. As you may know the symbol for Pisces is of 2 fish swimming following each other in a circular motion. As long as their surroundings are calm they stay together but as soon as they feel any type of discomfort they will naturally take flight. So the challenge is to stay connected, stay together, hold on tightly even when you feel like Jupiter in Sagittarius is shooting his arrow into very sensitive spots. It would be so easy to separate, divide and feel victimined when you feel the pain of the truth. However, Pisces is ruled by Neptune and Jupiter and so faith (Jupiter) and vision of resolve (Neptune) offer help and understanding. Jupiter in Sagittarius in the 7th house encourages us to try to understand and see both sides of relationships. It emphasizes topics such as equality, fairness and justice. I would expect that there will be fluctuations and alot of juggling as the square between this new moon and Jupiter is mutable. The best advice I can give is to roll with the waves and just keep swimming 😀

Currently we are in the foreshadow of Mercury’s first retrograde of 2019. This means that the areas we are thinking about and talking about are being visited for the first time. Mercury rules over logic, reason and in the sign of Pisces it can be very hard to state what’s on your mind. Mercury in Pisces can inspire thoughts and conversations about deeply, sensitive topics. Every retrograde has a foreshadow, a retrograde period and then an aftershadow. The foreshadow began on February 19th at 16 degrees of Pisces and enters into its retrograde on March 5th. Mercury will have traveled to 29 degrees of Pisces when it begins the retrograde and will appear to go backwards to 16 degrees of Pisces. Around March 14th the Sun and Mercury in Pisces will conjoin and will give us some insight into why it was so important to hold off on making any major decisions. Mercury retrograde ends on March 28th. Mercury’s retrograde can be frustrating because it causes delays, confusion, mix ups and logic is lessened. That is why Astrologers advice to use the retrograde to research topics. It’s wise to allow extra time for travel. Be advised if you make a decision you will most likely be revisiting that area once again because new information has come. An Astrologer friend of mine once said “mercury retrograde provides the means to a better end”. So if you can use the period between March 5 and March 28 to research whatever area Mercury is retrograding in your chart. I also wanted to bring to your attention that Mercury is right beside Chiron in Aries when it begins its retrograde and Mercury’s retrograde will travel the same path that Chiron traveled over the course of the last 4 years. While Chiron traveled through Pisces it influenced us to look deeper into very sensitive and perhaps painful areas and offered keys which when used led to feeling better. So while Mercury is retrograde we will be reminded of experiences we’ve had over the last 4 years and by the end of the after shadow (which is around April 16th), we should be able to move forward with a renewed vision for the future.
