This is going to be another incredible astrological week. Last week I told you there would be a lot of personal heightened emotion. Mostly due to Saturn turning direct and then squaring Mars while Mars is retrograde. It brought a lot of frustration to the surface and also a lot of restriction. We also had a full moon beside Chiron. So, it brought awareness to areas of vulnerability that a lot of us have and are still feeling this week and in many ways the energy of last week is accelerating. This is positive and proactive because it encourages us to be more honest and to feel the things that we have not felt or were not willing to feel. Now we are understanding that we have to feel it and be in it so that we can release it.

Whatever it is that is getting in the way of us standing strong in our own self power is now inviting us to identify it and accept it so that we can transform and overcome it. We can use it as a launching pad towards becoming clearer, better and more powerful than we were before.

There is also energy that is rather intense and can be so transformative yet also manipulative. We need to be very aware of this. This is because Mars and Pluto will form a powerful square this week and they are both the ruling planets of Scorpio.

Also, Mercury is in the sign of Scorpio in opposition to Uranus. This adds another level of unpredictability. What feels like a surprise could be an invitation to be honest with ourselves and others. This could show us where we or others maybe repeating patterns that are manipulative or unfair.

Pluto is named after Hades, the god of the underworld and symbolically it represents all the things we do not want to look at and things that are deeply buried. With strong Pluto transits such as this, Mars retrograde square Pluto, we are being powerfully asked to look at things we would normally would not.

In a birth chart, Pluto identifies an area where there might have been some deep pain, especially early in life. This pain may have roots in area where there were power struggles or power games or where we felt that things were unfair to us in some way. So, with Pluto, we are each being asked to make a plan in this area of life that we are going to be focused on making changes. So, it is really important that we focus on self-knowledge and transform old patterns.

This is about focusing on our own change and self-honesty. When we do this, others may be encouraged to do the same and want to transform the cycles of abuse or trauma from childhood and the past.

However, there is a choice to leave behind the old pattern and not repeat it or on the other side of Pluto’s energy. There is a choice to repeat the pattern that was abusive or traumatic. So, often we repeat the same patterns, but with new people and new dynamics.

Sometimes there is a reversal of roles and where we felt things were unfair, there comes a moment of choice where we decide to give back the pain that they gave us or we decide that we are going rise above this energy and this old pattern and then the healing occurs.

Pluto’s energy represents deep karma and areas where huge transformations can take place in your life and where you feel there is no choice but to surrender and go with the change.

As we start the week, Pluto turns direct but because of how slow it moves, it may appear to take the full week to fully square Mars. So, Mars and Pluto are at a peak of their power and will form a perfect square on Friday. We will feel this energy building as we move through the week. We are being asked to look at the things we didn’t think were a part of us. We are being asked to realize whether we are continuing these same patterns or whether we are going to choose to change and think about what this might look like. This will bring up some very personal realizations for everyone. Do we either begin to focus on compassion or do we identify with people who hurt us and return the abuse to them in the way they abused us?

The truth is at this time we are all working on healing some deep pain, but it may not appear to be this way especially if you are extremely sensitive, then you might interpret the situation differently.

The truth is that when we have not healed Pluto issues the karma continues. It can be generational karma. We can carry wounds from our ancestors. We can carry pain from past lifetimes as well.

I think that humanity is in a place now where growth and change is happening aggressively. I think that this is what the Mercury, Uranus opposition, in the middle of the week is trying to show us. Our growth is now accelerating to the point that what we used to need 100 years to invent now happens in 1 month.

I think this is also true about our understanding of human consciousness. In every area of life, we can see things accelerating and, in the areas, we are willing to consciously engage with, we are able to heal several lifetimes all at once. We are living in a time where we can heal trauma that has been built up over many generations from our ancestral lines.

When you have major planetary conversations and influences such as we are having right now, the influence goes deep and whatever’s remained on the surface speaks loudly to us and the challenge to face it and move through it in ways that don’t repeat the old patterns becomes front and center. Pluto square Mars and Mercury opposite Uranus are 2 of the major contributors of these influences this week.

So, we each are realizing and remembering several lifetimes and those who can be open minded and are willing to open their hearts to explore the pain and explore solutions to honestly look ourselves and the dynamics of the old patterns, and the generations who’ve suffered in our lineage.

It has increasingly become harder and harder to live and plan your life. Statistically it is much more common for people to have at least four dramatically different career paths, as they move through a life. It is also quite common for people now to have several major relationships in a lifetime. It is rarer to see somebody only with one person throughout their lifetime. I think these realities we now see, in so many life’s, is that we are learning what the karma is that needs to be resolved at least for this lifetime.

So, Pluto’s energy influence speaks to the things that we carry within and what is underneath the surface and is still there even though we do not want to acknowledge it. It is showing us what we want to deny, and then Uranus’s influence in Taurus (earth) is accelerating our growth and our learning and Mercury in the sign of Scorpio influences us to dig deep to get to the truth of the earthly matter and mundane experience. The growth comes by looking beyond the mundane and earthly illusions to see the things that most want to reject.

This is when the process of transformative energy begins to occur, and this is the energy that is strong this week.
Mercury in Scorpio and in its foreshadow of its retrograde, invites us to practice healthy detachment. Mercury influences intellectual energy and even when it is hard and feels challenging, it influences us to examine our own inner contradictions, motivations, and where it is that we project certain qualities, that we actually have put on to others. It is mercury in the sign of Scorpio that is going to invite us to think about and mentally go to a deeper place.

Mercury also has to do with the news and social media and with this opposition with Uranus, it points toward investigative reporting that is happening and indicates secrets and hidden agendas that come out and they come out suddenly, quickly and can be shocking. Oppositions raise awareness. That is their agenda. This may change our perception and reveal what may really be going on. This is really just the beginning. We do have to be careful because as I said before there is a strong element here for manipulation.

So, this week is important because it brings up the higher qualities of Scorpio energy. This takes a diligent realization that we have a choice because the default is to just do what you know and that is to repeat old patterns.

However, the rewards for the work are going to be there and that really is due to a beautiful and surprisingly harmonious trining conversation that is going to occur between Venus and Uranus. This is also happening near the end of the week.

Right now, Venus is in the sign of Virgo and Uranus is in the sign of Taurus. These are both earth signs. This speaks about practical changes and seeing what is happening and looking at what has manifested. This energy influences us to be more insightful using the material experiences we have as a springboard to understand the intense changes that are occurring on a deeper level. This trine between Venus and Uranus can also influence relationship and romantic surprises that go really well. There can be surprises that bring happiness and a sense of prosperity. This can play out as emotional or spiritual prosperity.

From a practical standpoint, this can play out in different ways. This energy is supportive of achieving practical advancements and can help us to move forward.

The rest of the energy this week can be so intense as Mars is in a fire sign (Aries) and this is can bring up passion, impulse, anger, and determination.

We have also have water energy being amplified with Mercury in Scorpio. Even though Pluto is in an earth sign which is Capricorn, its nature can feel very intense. We can easily get caught up in the feeling experience when it comes to Pluto.

To summarize this week, we have these big and intense energies and then there is this bright spot that shows us that things can change very quickly yet practically and for the better.

I do think we are still trying to make sense of last week’s full moon that was beside Chiron. This brought awareness to very vulnerable areas and it was bringing up a lot of old and painful emotions, but it was also bringing up some awareness and maybe insight into what we can do to bring relief and healing.

What is dynamic about this week is that we will realize ways through the challenges being brought up with Mars squaring Pluto which are motivating. They will require determination and an attitude needed to make good things happen. It will take a strong, personal will and honesty.

This week’s planetary influences tell us to focus on what it is that we want to achieve and to identify the actions we can take. It can help us to identify where we have control and where we do not. It will be most effective to surrender to the areas we do not have control over and to the world that surrounds us.
